An upbeat, narrative-driven indie pop-rock track with a theatrical flair, blending catchy guitar riffs with a satirical lyrical duel. The mood is cheeky and critical, featuring a driving mid-tempo rhythm that underscores a character study of power and performance.
The idea behind the song is that a certain type of politician (and indeed man) is so egotistical and think they rule the world and could get any girl in the world. But in reality they are the worst type of person and even a girl who has sex with just about anybody, would turn him down.
The chorus has a rock-y, raunchy feel representing the dancer and the verses have a smoother, sleazier feel representing the politician. The song is a narrative told from both characters viewpoint.
There will of course be a video released to go with the song. And the song is being released in ‘Radio Edit’ form. The full (c. 6 minutes) version will be found on the forthcoming album, Stupid Children.
