I am happy – and relieved – to report that my debut album, Stupid Children, is finished. I was planning on releasing it about five weeks after completion. However that would be right in the Christmas season and since I don’t want any stupid men with white beards and wobbly bellies obscuring the release of the greatest piece of musical art since… the last one. I have decided to wait until the new year. It would be a good way to start the year as well.

The album will contain new songs and all my previously released tracks. However all previously released tracks have either been re-recorded, remixed, re-mastered or all three! And of course all songs will be in their complete unedited form exactly as they should be.

My mixing and mastering skills have been constantly developing as I’ve been releasing music. The truth is I have not been happy with the production of any of my releases. I do it all myself and my developing mixing/mastering skills have not been doing my songs justice. I’ve gone ahead with the releases though because, well how long do wait until you’re good enough?

Having said all that I am now very happy with the album. I actually think every song sound great now, something I’ve never thought before about any of my releases. My sound engineering skills have really come on and I think I have done my songs justice at last. Hopefully the next album I’ll have the help of world class music producers 🙂
